shall be to preside at the meetings of the said com-
missioners, and preserve order and give such direc-
tion as may be deemed necessary by the said com-
missioners, to carry into effect the provisions of this
act.

them, may meet together from time to time as often
as occasion may require, upon the business of said
town, and not less than once in six months, and if

80. Said commissioners or a majority of them,
shall have power to appoint a clerk and assign his
duties, and allow him such compensation for his ser-
vices as they may think proper, and that all ordi-
nances passed by said commissioners or a majority
of them, shall by their clerk be entered in a book
to be kept by him for the purpose, and shall be
open at all times for the inspection of any person
interested.

recoverable.

81. All fines and forfeitures under the ordinances
of the said corporation, shall be recoverable as small
debts are recoverable, out of court, before any justice
of the peace.

82. The limits of said town shall be defined as
beginning at a bridge at the head of Church Creek
river on Loom Town road, thence running and bind-
ing the aforesaid river to Capt. Richard Linthicum's
wharf; thence from said wharf, running by a straight
line to the mouth of William T. Richardson's lane,
on the road leading from Church Creek to Cam-
bridge, thence from the mouth of said lane by a
straight line to a barn belonging to Capt. Levin S.
Fooks, on the road leading from Church Creek to
