otherwise disposing of minors, male and female,
committed to them by virtue of this law, except
that the president and board of managers of the
Childrens' aid society may bind out or dispose of
male minors committed to them until twenty-one
years of age.

NOTE—1867, c. 156, s, 8 enacts that the provisions of this article, section 907 to 027 inclu-
sive, shall be applicable throughout the state, in the institution called the Maryland Indus-
trial School fol Girls, as fur as the special object of it will admit. In force from February
8, 1867.

WATER.

1866, c. 33 repeals 1862, c. 83 which amended section 939 and substitutes as said
section the following:

939. For the purpose of defraying all the expenses
and costs of said lands, waters and water-rights as
shall have been taken for the purposes aforesaid, and
of constructing all works necessary to the accom-
plishment of said purposes and all expenses incident
thereto, the said mayor and city council of Baltimore
shall have authority in the name of the city, to issue
certificates of debt to be denominated on the face,
Baltimore water stock, to an amount not exceeding
four millions and five hundred thousand dollars,
bearing interest not exceeding six per cent, per
annum, and to provide by ordinance for the redemp-
tion of the same at a certain time, and under such
provisions as the mayor and city council may deem
expedient and proper; the said mayor and city coun-
