for such sum of money to be paid to the said com-
missioner as he may in writing certify to be neces-
sary for such purposes, not exceeding, however, the

and hogs required by law to be weighed which may
be brought to said scales for that purpose, and the
said inspector shall be entitled to demand and receive
for the use of the state for the first time of weighing
any live stock except sheep required by law to be

times be subject to the inspection and order of the
comptroller ; and he shall at the expiration of every
