SHERIFF.

Chapter 224 amends and re-enacts Section 193, as follows:

40. The sheriff of said county shall be allowed two dollars a
day for each day he sball attend the Circuit Court for said
county in person, or by deputy, and shall be entitled to sixty-
five cents per day for keeping and boarding each prisoner com-
mitted to or confined in the jail of said county.

In force from March 9, 1864.

STANDARD KEEPER OF WEIGHTS AND MEASURES.

Chapter 66 adds the following:

41. The keeper of the standards of weights and measures in
Baltimore county shall receive five cents for each weight and
measure, and ten cents for each scale beam tried and branded,
stamped or marked by him, to be paid by the person for whom
the service may be performed.

WOODBURY FACTORY.

Chapter 206 adds the following:

42. It shall not be lawful for the clerk of the Circuit Court
for Baltimore county to issue license to any person or persona
to sell spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer at Wood-
bury Factory, or at any place nearer than three-fourths of a
mile in every other direction.
