the county for the same time and in the same amount as pro-
vided in the preceding section, and all the provisions of the
preceding section shall apply to all cases under this section,
except so far as altered by this section.
7. Any person convicted in any county of this State, of the
offence of being a common thief or common pickpocket, shall
be fined and imprisoned in the county jail for the same time or
amount as provided in the first section of this act, and the pro-
visions of said section shall apply to this section, except so far
as altered by this section.

TRESPASS ON LAND.
Chapter 247 adds the following section to this Article:
8. Any person or persons who shall enter upon the land of
any other person, a body corporate or politic, in this State, and
shall wilfully and maliciously injure or destroy or feloniously
take and carry away any growing tree, vine, plant, shrubbery,
root, vegetable, fruit or grain, or any fencing, shall on convic-
tion thereof in any of the courts of the State having jurisdic-
tion thereof, be adjudged guilty of a misdemeanor, and be fined
not less than five dollars nor more than one hundred dollars, or
be imprisoned in the city or county jail not less than one month
nor more than six months, or be both fined and imprisoned as
aforesaid, in the discretion of the court; and that this act shall
apply only to Allegany, Frederick, Prince George, Harford,
Baltimore, Talbot, Caroline and Cecil counties.

ARTICLE XXXI.
CROWS.
This Article is repealed by Chapter 250, so far as it relates to Allegany and
Calvert counties. In force from March 10, 1864.
