1931, ch. 324, sec. 281.
339. The State Roads Commission is hereby charged with the admin-
istration and enforcement of this sub-title, and in connection therewith
may make and enforce regulations and orders to carry out its purposes,
and it is. hereby authorized to remove, after thirty days' written notice
given to the person, firm or corporation owning or controlling the same,
any billboard or other structure, sign, poster or other advertisement display
erected or maintained contrary to the provisions of this sub-title.

340. The fee for permits issued in pursuance of Section 335 of this
sub-title is hereby imposed for revenue and the State Roads Commission
shall account quarterly to the Comptroller for the amount collected and
pay the same forthwith to the State Treasurer. The cost and expenses
incurred in administering this sub-title shall be paid out of the receipts
from said fee and the balance of said receipts shall be credited to the State
Roads Commission to be used for planting and improving the rights of
way along said roads.

341. Any person, firm or corporation erecting, maintaining or using a
billboard or other structure, poster, sign or other display advertising,
without complying with the provisions of this sub-title shall be guilty of
a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not exceeding
five hundred dollars ($500.00).

342. If any clause, section or provisions of this sub-title shall be held
unconstitutional or invalid, such determination shall not be held to affect
any other clause, section or provision hereof.1
Real Estate Brokers.

343. (Definitions.) (a) "Real estate broker" shall mean any person,
association, co-partnership or corporation, foreign or domestic, who for
another and for a fee, commission or any other valuable consideration
sells, purchases, exchanges, leases, rents or collects rent for the use of real
estate or who attempts or who offers by verbal solicitation, advertisement
or otherwise to perform any such functions or who is regularly engaged
in the business of dealing and trading in real estate or leases and options
thereon, or who is engaged in the business of subdividing and selling land
in building-lots or sites, whether such real estate is located in this or any
other State or the District of Columbia.
(b) "Real estate salesman" shall mean any person employed either
directly or indirectly by a real estate broker or by a real estate salesman,
either on a part or full time basis, to perform any act or acts authorized
by this sub-title to be performed by a real estate broker.
(c) "Commission" shall mean the Maryland Real Estate Commission.
(d) "Real estate" shall include leaseholds and all other tangible inter-
ests in real property.
