prescribed by law for the making of applications for registration tags in
the case of all other motor vehicles; (3) to make an application in writing
for registration with the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, and to state
in said application besides the other matters by law provided; (a) the
carrying capacity as given by the manufacturer of such motor vehicles;
(b) the route on which such motor vehicle is to be used; (c) whether
reserve or substitute motor vehicles are maintained by the applicant to be
used only in emergencies; and if so, the number of such reserve and substi-
tute motor vehicles and a complete description of each, such motor
vehicle when in use to be designated by a special marker to be furnished
by the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles; (d) the length of the route in
miles on State, State-aid, improved country 1 roads, and streets and roads
of incorporated towns and cities; (e) the weight of the vehicle when
empty; and (f) the schedule under which it shall be operated; and for
each such motor vehicle, except reserve or substitute vehicles an annual
fee shall be paid to the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles for certificates of
registration issued by him as follows:

(1) Commercial vehicles with two axles and equipped with pneumatic
tires other than those electrically operated shall be divided into six classes
based upon the gross shipping weight of the chassis as given and certified
to by the manufacturer and the fees for each class shall be as follows:

Class Shipping Weight of Chassis in Pounds Fee

1 Less than 2500................................ $30

2 2500 and over but less than 3500.................. 50

3 3500 and over but less than 5000.................. 70

4 5000 and over but less than 6000.................. 100

5 6000 and over but less than 7500.................. 150

6 7500 and over................................. 260

(2) Commercial motor vehicles with three axles and equipped with
pneumatic tires, other than those electrically operated, shall be divided
into six classes based upon the gross shipping weight of the chassis as
given and certified to by the manufacturer and the fees for each class
shall be as follows:

1 Less than 3500................................ $50

2 3500 and over but less than 5000.................. 90

3 5000 and over but less than 7000.................. 160

4 7000 and over but less than 9000.................. 260

5 9000 and over but less than 12000................. 380

6 12000 and over............................... 500

(3) Class B. (Solid Tires.) For each motor vehicle equipped in whole
or in part with solid tires propelled by internal combustion engines and
having a rated carrying capacity of

not more than 2,000 pounds..................... $20

not more than 3,000 pounds..................... 30

not more than 4,000 pounds..................... 40

not more than 5,000 pounds..................... 50

not more than 6,000 pounds...................... 60

not more than 7,000 pounds..................... 80
