(2) Trailers or semi-trailers with two axles and four wheels equipped
with rubber tires shall be divided into six classes based upon the gross
shipping weight of the chassis as given and certified to by the manufac-
turer, and the fee for each class shall be as follows:

1 Less than 1,500...................................... $15

2 1,500 and over but less than 3,000........................ 30

3 3,000 and over but less than 4,000........................ 45

4 4,000 and over but less than 5,000........................ 60

5 5,000 and over but less than 6,000........................ 75

6 6,000 and over....................................... 100

(3) Trailers with three axles and six wheels equipped with rubber tires
shall be divided into six classes based upon the gross shipping weight of
the chassis as given and certified to by the manufacturer and the fee for
each class shall be as follows:

Class Shipping Weight of Chassis in Pounds Fee

1 Less than 4,000...................................... $45

2 4,000 and over but less than 5,000........................ 80

3 5,000 and over but less than 6,000....................... 120

4 6,000 and over but less than 7,000........................ 160

5 7,000 and over but less than 9,000........................ 220

6 9,000 and over ...................................... 250

'Where any trailer or semi-trailer is equipped with two or more metal
tires, the charge shall be double that of the same class equipped with
rubber tires.

The fees as provided for in the above three classes shall not be chargeable
in the case of threshing machines, clover hullers, binders, and other similar
farming implements not designed for hauling purposes.

Class H, (Truck, Tractor or Tractor Engines.) Twenty-five ($25.00)
dollars for each tractor or traction engines, or any other similar vehicles
used for propelling, supporting or drawing a trailer or semi-trailer.

This charge shall not apply to, nor shall registration tags be required
to be displayed on a tractor or tractor engine used for hauling on an unim-
proved road or for drawing or propelling agricultural or farming imple-
ments so long as such vehicle is not used for hauling purposes (except for
drawing or propelling agricultural or farming implements) upon any
improved highway.

The charges above prescribed for the markers and certificates of registra-
tion provided for in Classes A and F, shall not apply to vehicles using the
public highways of the State and propelled by steam or electricity.

For such vehicles, the following fees shall be paid per annum to the
Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, for the markers and certificates of
registration issued by him in accordance with the provisions of this sub-
title.

Class I. (Electric Pneumatic.) Sixty (60$) cents per horse power or
fraction thereof in the case of all motor vehicles having pneumatic tires,
with a minimum charge of ten ($10.00) dollars for any motor vehicle.
