the applicant for trader's license, and made oath in due form of law that
the statements set forth above are true, to the best of said applicant's
knowledge and belief.

The said Clerks of Court shall grant to every person who shall apply
for the same, such license as he may desire, and be authorized to obtain,
properly filled up and signed by them.
