15. Any person or partnership applying for the same and paying the
sum of thirty dollars may obtain a license for carrying on the business of
grain broker, stock broker, coffee broker, cotton broker, sugar broker or

17. Any person, corporation, member or members of a corporation or
firm who loans money on deposits or pledge on personal property or other
valuable thing, other than securities or printed evidences of indebtedness,
or who deals in the purchasing of personal property or other valuable things
on condition of selling the same back again at a stipulated price, is hereby
declared and defined to be a pawnbroker.

18. Any person who shall make it a business to deal in any manner
upon his own account or for others in the purchase or sale of stocks, bills,
