can have a fair and impartial trial in any case pending for trial before
either of the trial magistrates, shall have the right at any time before trial,
upon making said written suggestion and oath before the said trial magis-
trate to whom said case was pending for trial to have such pending case
removed for trial to the other trial magistrate, the said trial magistrate
shall upon the payment of cost accrued to the date of removal, forthwith
transfer all papers and a record of his proceedings in the case to the other
trial magistrate, who shall take such further action in the case as if the
same had been originally transmitted to him for trial.

(Queen Anne's County.) There shall be one trial magistrate who shall
sit at Centreville and who shall receive an annual salary of $1,200.00.

(St. Mary's County.) There shallbe one trial magistrate who shall sit
at Leonardtown and who shall receive an annual salary of $900.00. The
said trial magistrate may direct the substitute trial magistrate hereinafter
referred to, to sit at such time and place as public convenience may neces-
sitate.

It shall be the duty of the State's Attorney to attend all trials before
said magistrate and to render such legal advice in criminal matters as the
said trial magistrate may request and as compensation for his additional
work and expense he shall receive the sum of $720.00 annually, payable
monthly, by the Board of County Commissioners of St. Mary's County.

(Somerset County.) There shall be two trial magistrates, one of whom
shall sit at Crisfield and the other at Princess Anne, and each of said mag-
istrates shall receive an annual salary of Fifteen Hundred Dollars
($1,500.00).

(Talbot County.) There shall be one trial magistrate who shall sit at
Easton and who shall receive an annual salary of $2,100.00 He shall sit
not less than one day or part thereof in each week at St. Michaels.

(Washington County.) There shall be five trial magistrates, two of
whom shall sit at Hagerstown and receive an annual salary of $2,600.00,
one of whom shall sit at Hancock and receive an annual salary of $1,000,
and one of whom shall sit at Boonsboro and receive an annual salary of
$1,000.00, and one of whom shall sit at Williamsport and receive an annual
salary of $1,000.00. The magistrate at Hancock shall sit not less than two
days or parts thereof in each week at Clear Spring, and the magistrate, at
Boonsboro shall sit not less than two days or parts thereof in each week at
Smithsburg. The magistrate at Williamsport shall sit not less than two
days or parts thereof in each week at Sharpsburg.

One-fourth of the salaries of said trial magistrates sitting in the City
of Hagerstown shall be paid by the Mayor and Council of Hagerstown;
the other three-fourths of said salaries shall be paid by the County Com-
missioners for Washington Co.unty.

(Wicomico County.) There shall be one trial magistrate who shall sit
at Salisbury and shall receive an annual salary of twenty-four hundred
($2400.00) dollars, the said trial magistrate so appointed to be known as
the Judge of the, Peoples' Court.

There shall be appointed biennially by the Judge of the Peoples' Court
a Clerk who shall keep all dockets of and supervise and manage the Office
of the Peoples' Court of said county and said Clerk shall perform such other
duties as shall be properly assigned to him by the said Judge and he shall
receive an annual salary of fifteen hundred dollars ($1500.00) payable by
the County Commissioners of the said County; the said Clerk before enter-
