HEALTH 1817

An. Code, 1924, sec. 90. 1924, ch. 294, sec. 77.

90. Every midwife who attends a mother at the birth of a live-born
child shall make out and file a certificate of birth as provided in Section 21
of this Article. Whenever a midwife shall attend any mother who gives
birth to a still-born child he or she shall immediately notify the coroner 1
having jurisdiction over the district in which such still-born child is born,
and shall immediately file a certificate of birth for such still-born child with
the registrar of vital statistics for the district in which such child was born.

91. The State Board of Health is hereby authorized and empowered to
adopt rules and regulations, not inconsistent with law, governing the licen-
sure of midwives and the practice of midwifery in this State.

The State Board of Health shall keep an accurate and complete register
of midwives, and shall enforce all the provisions of this sub-title.

An. Code, 1924, sec. 92. 1924, ch. 294, sec. 79.

92. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of this sub-title,
or of the rules or regulations adopted hereunder by the State Board of
Health, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined
not less than five dollars nor more than one hundred dollars, and any mid-
wife who shall be twice convicted of a violation of the provisions of this
sub-title, or the rules or regulations adopted hereunder, shall in addition
to the other penalties herein provided, forfeit her license to practice mid-
wifery and shall not be permitted thereafter to practice in this State. Pro-
vided that no person to whom a rule or regulation of said Board has not
been mailed, prior to the violation of such rule or regulation, shall be prose-
cuted for such violation thereof.

93. Any midwife who shall be convicted of producing an abortion or
inducing premature labor, shall, in addition to the other penalties provided
by law, forfeit her license to practice midwifery and shall not thereafter
be permitted to practice midwifery in this State.2

Tuberculosis.

An. Code, 1924, sec. 94. 1912, sec. 84. 1904, sec. 56. 1904, ch. 412, sec. 34G.

94. The state board of health of Maryland shall keep a register of all
persons in this State who are known to be afflicted with tuberculosis. The
state board of health shall have sole and exclusive control of said register,
and shall not permit inspection thereof nor disclose any of its personal
particulars except to officials authorized under the laws of Maryland to
receive such information.

95. The state board of health shall prepare and furnish the local health
officers or the physician attending any person infected with tuberculosis,
