rosette, or other insignia, similar to, imitating, or so nearly resembling
as to be calculated to deceive, any other name, badge, button, decoration,
charm, emblem, rosette, or other insignia whatsoever, already registered
pursuant to the provisions of this sub-title.

199. Upon granting registration as aforesaid, the Secretary of State
shall issue his certificate to the petitioners, setting forth the fact at such
registration.

200. Any person who shall wilfully wear, exhibit, display, print, or
use, for any purpose, the badge, motto, button, decoration, charm, emblem,
rosette, or other insignia of any such association or organization, herein
mentioned, duly registered hereunder, unless he or she shall be entitled
to use and wear the same under the constitution and by-laws, rules, and
regulations of such association and organization, shall be guilty of mis-
demeanor, and upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding
one hundred ($100.00) dollars, and, in default of payment, committed to
jail for a period of not to exceed sixty (60) days.

201. The fees of the Secretary of State for registration, alteration,
cancellation, searches made by him, and certificates issued by him, pur-
suant to this sub-title, shall be the same as provided by law for similar
services. The fees collected under this sub-title, after deducting the cost
of administering this law, shall be paid by the Secretary of State into
the State Treasury.1
Fraud—Unlawful Use or Imitation of Trade Names or Titles.

202. It shall be unlawful for any individual, firm, partnership, cor-
poration, association or joint stock company with intent to defraud to
trade, do or transact any business in the State of Maryland under any
name, trade name or title, which is the same as, or similar to, that used by
any other individual, firm, partnership, corporation, association or joint
stock company, previously using, trading or doing business under such
name, trade name or title in the State of Maryland, or to imitate such
name, trade name or title, provided that this section shall not apply to
individuals possessing similar names. Any person violating this section
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be subject when convicted
thereof to a fine of not more than one hundred dollars for each day during
which such offense is committed or repeated.

203. An apple barrel shall be of the following dimensions: Head
diameter, seventeen and one-eighth inches; length of stave, twenty-eight
and one-half inches; bulge, not less than sixty-four inches, outside mea-
surement; and every person, firm or corporation buying or selling apples
