($250. 00), and the said Board shall be authorized to expend such addi-
tional sum or sums as may be necessary, not exceeding Two Hundred and
Fifty Dollars ($250. 00), per annum, to cover stenographic and other ex-
penses.

In Washington County each of the members of the Board shall receive
Ten Dollars ($10. 00) per day for each day devoted to the business of the
Board, not to exceed Fifteen Hundred Dollars ($1, 500. 00) per annum.

In Cecil County the members of the Board of County Commissioners
shall each receive, in addition to their present salaries, Two Hundred
Dollars ($200. 00) per annum for their services in acting as members of
the Board of License Commissioners of said County.

In Dorchester County the members of the Board of County Commis-
sioners shall each receive, in addition to their present salaries, one hundred
dollars ($100. 00) per annum, for their services in acting as members of
the Board of License Commissioners of said County.

In Carroll County each of the members of the Board of County Com-
missioners shall receive, in addition to their present salaries, the sum of
Two Hundred Dollars ($200. 00) per annum for their services in acting
as members of the Board of License Commissioners.

46. Boards of License Commissioners—Employees and Compensation.
In addition to the powers hereinbefore provided, the said respective Boards
shall be authorized to employ a secretary and such inspectors, clerical and
other assistance as may be necessary, and to fix the compensation of such
employees, subject to the approval of the Comptroller, except as other-
wise provided by this Act In Baltimore City, no Commissioner, or em-
ployee of the Board shall have any interest, direct or indirect, either pro-
prietary or by means of any loan, mortgage or lien, or in any other man-
ner, in or on any premises where alcoholic beverages are manufactured or
sold; nor shall he have any interest, direct or indirect, in any business
wholly or partially devoted to the manufacture or sale of alcoholic bever-
ages, or own any stock in any corporation which has any interest, pro-
prietary or otherwise, direct or indirect, in any premises where alcoholic
beverages are manufactured or sold or in any business wholly or partially
devoted TO the manufacture or sale of alcoholic beverages, or hold any
other public office or employment, Federal, State or local. Every em-
ployee of said Board shall devote his whole time and attention to the
business of the Board and shall not engage in any other occupation, busi-
ness or professional. 1 Any employee of said Board who violates any of
the provisions of this Section shall be removed. No Commissioner or
employee of the Board shall solicit or receive directly or indirectly any
commission, remuneration or gift whatsoever from any person, or corpora-
tion engaged in the manufacture or sale of beer or other alcoholic bever-
ages, nor any agent or employee of such person or corporation or from any
licensee, licensed under the provisions of this Article. No person or corpo-
