748 ARTICLE 56.

Commercial vehicles with a shipping weight of 3, 500 pounds and over,
but less than 5, 000 pounds shall not have a gross weight in excess of
14, 000 pounds.

Commercial vehicles with a shipping weight of 5, 000 pounds and over,
but less than 7, 000 pounds shall not have a gross weight in excess of
20, 000 pounds.

Commercial vehicles with a shipping weight of 7, 000 pounds and over,
but less than 9, 000 pounds shall not have a gross weight in excess of
26, 000 pounds.

Commercial vehicles with a shipping weight of 9, 000 pounds and over,
but less than 12, 000 pounds shall not have a gross weight in excess of
36, 000 pounds.

Commercial vehicles with a shipping weight of 12, 000 pounds and over,
shall not have a gross weight in excess of 40, 000 pounds.

(3A) Weight of Semi-Trailers, Two Wheels Equipped with Rubber
Tires. Semi-trailers, two wheels equipped with rubber tires, or metal
tires, shall not be operated on any highway of this State with gross weight
exceeding those as set forth in the following classes:

Semi-trailers weighing less than 1, 000 pounds shall not have a gross
weight in excess of 5, 000 pounds.

Semi-trailers weighing 1, 000 pounds and over but less than 2, 500
pounds shall not have a gross weight in excess of 15, 000 pounds.

Semi-trailers weighing 2, 500 pounds and over but less than 3, 500
pounds shall not have a gross weight in excess of 20, 000 pounds.

Semi-trailers weighing 3, 500 pounds and over shall not have a gross
weight in excess of 25, 000 pounds.

(4A) Trailers and Semi-Trailers, Four Wheels, Two Axles. All
trailers and semi-trailers, two axles, rubber tires, or metal tires, shall not
be operated on any highway of this State with gross weight exceeding
those as set forth in the following classes:

Trailers and semi-trailers weighing less than 1, 500 pounds shall not
have a gross weight in excess of 5, 000 pounds.

Trailers and semi-trailers weighing 1, 500 pounds and over, but less than
3, 000 pounds shall not have a gross weight in excess of 8, 000 pounds.

Trailers and semi-trailers weighing 3, 000 pounds and over, but less than
4, 000 pounds shall not have a gross weight in excess of 11, 000 pounds.

Trailers and semi-trailers weighing 4, 000 pounds and over, but less than
5, 000 pounds shall not have a gross weight in excess of 15, 000 pounds.

Trailers and semi-trailers weighing 5, 000 pounds and over, but less than
6, 000 pounds shall not have a gross weight in excess of 20, 000 pounds.

Trailers and semi-trailers weighing 6, 000 pounds and over, shall not
have a gross weight in excess of 25, 000 pounds.

(5A) Weight of Trailers, Three Axles, Six Wheel. Trailers, three
axles, rubber tires, or metal tires, shall not be operated on any highway of
this State with gross weight exceeding those as set forth in the following
