594 ARTICLE 43.

1935, ch. 406, sec. 407.

447. Any person o: persons violating any of the provisions of this sub-
title except Section 2 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction
thereof shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than ten dollars ($10. 00)
or more than fifty dollars ($50. 00), or imprisonment in the county jail
for not less than ten days or more than thirty days, or both, at the discre-
tion of the court. Any person or persons, found guilty of violation of
Section 2 of this sub-title shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon con-
viction thereof shall be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than one hundred
dollars ($1 )0. 00) tor more than one thousand dollars ($1. 300. 00) or im-
prisonment in the county jail for not more than nine months.

All fines and penalties imposed and received for the violation of any
of the provisions of this sub-title shall be paid to the University of Mary-
land College of Agriculture or its agents and all monies so collected shall
be used to meet the expenses of the University of Maryland College of
Agriculture in the enforcement of this sub-title until September 30, 1937.
Thereafter all fees received under this sub-title shall be paid into the State
Treasury to be used solely in enforcing the provisions of this sub-title and
shall be included in the State Budget to be submitted to the General
Assembly at each regular session.

448. If any provision of mis sub-title is declared unconstitutional or
the applicability thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the
constitutionality of the remainder of the sub-title and the applicability
thereof to other persons and circumstances shall not be affected thereby. 2
