Paper-Hangers.
1935, ch. 377, sec. 282A.
282P. The Governor shall, on or before the first day of July, 1935,
appoint a Board which shall be known as the Board of Examiners and
Supervisors of Paper-Hangers of Baltimore City, consisting of five per-
sons, for the purpose of issuing licenses and examining into the qualifica-
tions and capabilities of all persons engaging in, or desiring to engage in
the business of paper-hanging in Baltimore City. The Board so ap-
pointed shall consist of competent, practical paper-hangers of Baltimore
City, and shall serve until the first Monday in May, 1939 and thereafter,
all appointments shall be for terms of four years. Should any vacancy
occur from any cause during the term of any member of the Board as
herein provided, the Governor shall appoint someone to fill such vacancy
and no more than three members of said Board shall be affiliated with the
same Political Party. The Governor shall have full power to remove any
member of the Board for incompetency or misconduct, upon satisfactory
evidence being presented to him, and after affording such member with
a copy of the charges against him, and an opportunity to be heard.

282Q. The members of said Board shall respectively take, and sub-
scribe the oath required by other state officers. They shall have power to
elect, out of their number, a President, Secretary and Treasurer, and to
adopt such rules and by-laws for the transaction of the business of the
Board as they may deem proper.
1935, ch. 377, sec. 282C.
282R. Each member of said Board shall receive a compensation of
Five Dollars ($5. 00) per day for actual service in attending meetings of
the Board, which compensation shall be paid out of any monies in the
hands of the Treasurer of said Board; provided that the Secretary of
said Board may receive such additional compensation as the Board may
deem just and reasonable, and for which the by-laws of said Board may
provide; provided, however, that the compensation and expenses of said
Board, shall, in no event, be paid out of the funds in the State Treasury,
or become a charge against the State, it being intended that all compensa-
tion and expenses shall not exceed the receipts of the Board, as provided
by this sub-title, and all sums not required to meet the compensation and
expenses of the Board shall be paid over to the Treasurer of Maryland for
the use of the State, on September 30th, of each and every year.
