be made at bars or counters. A guest shall be construed to mean a person
who has ordered a meal or hired a room for one night or more.

Beer, Wine and Liquor License, Class C. (On Sale)—Clubs. Such a.
license shall be issued by the Clerk of the Circuit Court of the County in
which the place of business is located, or 'by the Clerk of the Court of
Common Pleas for Baltimore City, if the place of business is located in
said city, and shall authorize the holder thereof to keep for sale and sell
all alcoholic beverages at retail at any club, at the place therein described,
for consumption on the premises only. The annual fee for such a license
shall be Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250. 00), and shall be payable
to said Clerk, before any such license is issued, for distribution as here-
inafter provided.

Such a license shall be issued only in Baltimore City, Baltimore and
Washington Counties, the towns of North Beach and Chesapeake Beach,
and such at license may be issued in the City of Annapolis, upon the ap-
proval of and for such fee as may be fixed by the Mayor, Counsellor and
Alderman.

The hours during which the privileges conferred by such a license may
be exercised shall be from 6 A. M. to 2 A. M. on the day following, but no
holder of such a license shall be permitted to make any sale on the day
of any general, special or primary election. In the City of Annapolis, the
hours shall be fixed by the Mayor, Counsellor and Alderman.

Beer, Wine and Liquor License, Class D. (On Sale)—Taverns in Balti-
more City, North Beach, Chesapeake Beach and Baltimore County only.
In Baltimore City, in Baltimore County, and in Calvert County, the Clerk
of the Court of Common Pleas for said City, if the place of business is
located in said City, or the Clerk of the Circuit Court for said Counties,
if the place of business is located in either of said Counties, shall be au-
thorized to issue beer, wine and liquor licenses, Class D, which shall au-
thorize the holder thereof to keep for sale and sell all alcoholic beverages
at retail at the place therein described for consumption on the premises
or elsewhere, provided that no license shall be so issued for any place in
Calvert County lying without the corporate limits of the towns of North
Beach and Chesapeake Beach respectively. The annual fee for such
license shall be Five Hundred Dollars ($500. 00) in Baltimore City and
Four Hundred Dollars ($400. 00) in Baltimore County and in the towns
of North Beach and Chesapeake Beach, and shall be payable to the said
Clerk, before any such license is issued, for distribution as hereinafter
provided. No such license shall be issued for any drug store.

No holder of any such license shall be permitted to make any sale of any
alcoholic beverage on Sunday, or on the day of any general, special or
primary election; nor on any other day between the hours of midnight
and 6 A. M. in Baltimore County and between the hours of 1 A. M. and
6 A. M. in Baltimore City.
