case before the Board of Trustees of the Maryland State Firemen's Asso-
ciation, supported in all cases by the recommendation of the fire company
of which he is a member, and the Board of Trustees aforesaid shall pro-
ceed to consider the same, and if the facts are found as above stated, the
name of the firemen shall be placed on a list to be kept by the Secretary
of the Maryland State Firemen's Association, to be known as "Disabled
Firemen's List, " and every person so placed on said list shall be entitled
to receive a pension from the Maryland Firemen's Association in a sum,
the amount of which shall be decided upon by the Board of Trustees of
the Maryland State Firemen's Association and to be paid out of its
treasury at such times and in such instalments and in such amounts as the
said Board of Trustees of the Maryland State Firemen's Association may,
decide, during the period he is so disabled or so long as said pensioner is
without other means of comfortable support.

18. In case of the death of any volunteer fireman by accident resulting
from the active participation in fighting a fire or while going to or from a
fire, and he leaves a widow or a dependent child or children, the case shall
be laid before the Board of Trustees of the Maryland State Firemen's
Association, and if the facts are established as provided in Section 1, 1 the
widow and child, or children as the case may be, shall be placed on said
"Disabled Firemen's List, " and the widow shall be entitled to receive a
pension from the Maryland State Firemen's Association in a sum, the
amount of which shall be decided upon by the Board of Trustees of the
Maryland State Firemen's Association, and to be paid out of its treasury
at such times and in such instalments and in such amount as the said
Board of Trustees of the Maryland State Firemen's Association may
decide, during widowhood, and each of the children of the said deceased
firemen shall receive a pension from the Maryland State Firemen's Asso-
ciation in a sum the amount of which shall be decided upon by the Board
of Trustees of the Maryland State Firemen's Association and to be paid
out of its treasury at such times and in such instalments and in such
amount as the said Board of Trustees of the Maryland State Firemen's
Association may decide, until they each attain the age of seventeen years.

19. The sum of twenty thousand three hundred and twenty-one
($20, 321. 00) dollars shall be included in the State Budget each year for
the purposes set forth in Sections 17, 18 and 20 of this Article. Such sums
shall be administered and expended by the Board of Trustees of the Mary-
land State Firemen's Association.
