9. There shall be issued with every original attachment, but not with
other or successive attachments in the same proceeding as authorized in
Section 8, a writ of summons against the defendant and a declaration or
short note, expressing the plaintiff's cause of action, shall be filed, and
a copy thereof shall be sent with the writ to be set up at the court house
door by the sheriff, or other officer.

inal process as provided by this section, but was intended to be bond for disso-
lution of attachment on judgment already entered against credits in hands of
garnishees, cannot be treated as statutory bond, but may be construed as com-
mon law bond. Md. Casualty Co. v. Greenberg, 159 Md. 40.
