757. The Board of County Commissioners of Baltimore County, at
the time of the annual tax levy, shall make a. special annual levy of ten
cents on each one hundred dollars of the whole assessable property of the
Thirteenth Election District of Baltimore County, to be collected as other
county taxes are collected, and when collected to be used by the said County
Commissioners exclusively for the purpose of broken or crushed stone for
the purpose of macadamizing the county roads of said district; provided,
fifty or more taxable residents of said district shall, prior to each annual
tax levy, petition the said County Commissioners asking such special levy
to be made.

758. Every taxpayer of said district shall have the privilege of work-
ing ont this special tax by hauling broken or crushed stone of suitable
quality upon such portions of any of the county roads of said district
nearest his farm which it is intended to macadamize out of the proceeds
of said special tax. The said work to be done under the supervision of the
road supervisor of said district, who, whenever he is satisfied that any tax-
payer has fully worked out his special road tax under this law at the same
price per perch paid by the County Commissioners for similar stone de-
livered upon said road, shall give such taxpayer a certificate to that effect,
which certificate shall be received by the Treasurer and Collector of Taxes
for Baltimore County as so much money on account of said tax.

759. The County Commissioners of Baltimore County be and are
authorized and empowered to lay out and construct under the provisions
of the road laws of Baltimore County such county roads and avenues with-
in that part of the Thirteenth Election District of Baltimore County lying
within two miles of the present limits of Baltimore City as may be de-
manded for the convenience of the people of said district; provided, that
all county roads or avenues to be opened under the provisions of this
section through any lands situate in said district which have heretofore
been platted by the proprietors thereof in pursuance of a plan for the
development thereof shall conform to the streets, avenues or alleys so
platted on said plat of said lands, unless the proprietors thereof shall con-
sent to an alteration.
