658 ARTICLE 3.

County as jurors, and fifteen cents for each mile over five miles for going
to and returning from said court., once in each term, to be paid by the
Treasurer of Baltimore County; and the County Commissioners shall levy
annually such sum of money as they may deem sufficient to pay the ex-
penses and charges for the succeeding year for the attendance of jurors
summoned to the Circuit Court for said county.*

JUSTICES OF THE PEACE AND CONSTABLES.

392. There shall be the following number of justices of the peace and
constables in Baltimore County, that is to say:

For Election District No. 1, eight justices of the peace and four con-
stables.

For Election District No. 2, five justices of the peace and two constables.

For Election District No. 3, eight justices of the peace and four con-
stables.

For Election District No. 4, four justices of the peace and two con-
stables.

For Election District No. 5, four justices of the peace and two con-
stables.

For Election District No. 6, four justices of the peace and two con-
stables.

For Election District No. 7, four justices of the peace and two con-
stables.

For Election District No. 8, six justices of the peace and two constables.

For Election District No. 9, eleven justices of the peace and five con-
stables; one of whom shall reside in Towson.

For Election District No. 10, three justices of the peace and two con-
stables.

For Election District No. 11, five justices of the peace and six con-
stables.

For Election District No. 12, three justices of the peace and two con-
stables.

For Election District No. 13, three justices of the peace and three con-
stables.

For glection District No. 14, five justices of the peace and two con-
stables.

For Election District No. 15, eight justices of the peace and three con-
stables.

But the County Commissioners may, in their discretion, upon the expi-
ration of the terms of the constables, who are in office at the time of the
passage of this Act, or who may hereafter be appointed under this Act.
appoint a less number of constables for any election district than the num-
ber hereinbefore named; provided that there shall always be at least one
constable in each of said election districts.

*Sec. 2 of ch. 339, Acts of 1929, repeals all laws inconsistent therewith.
