572 ARTICLE 3.

person having charge of or occupying such lands fail to have the same cut
and destroyed within the said ten days, it shall be lawful, and the said
County Commissioners are hereby directed to employ laborers to cut and
destroy the said thistles and to pay such wages for said services, not ex-
ceeding fifteen cents per hour for the time occupied in performing such
services, as they may deem reasonable and proper; which sums, together
with the costs of serving notice and returning the same (which costs and
fees shall be the same as is now allowed by law for similar service) shall
be certified by the County Commissioners to the County Treasurer, who
shall pay the same, and the said cost and charges shall be collected from
the said land as other costs and charges.

145. All laws and parts of laws now in force relating or applicable
to Baltimore County, and not included in this Act, and not inconsistent
with this Act, and all rules and regulations of the County Commissioners
of Baltimore County, heretofore passed in any lawful capacity, and not
inconsistent with this Act, are hereby continued until changed or repealed,
respectively, by the General Assembly of Maryland or said County Com-
missioners acting as aforesaid in any lawful capacity; provided, that all
Acts or parts of Acts passed at the session of the General Assembly of
Maryland in the year nineteen hundred and eight relating to Baltimore
County, or in any manner amending or adding to Article 3 of the Public
Local Laws, as said article existed before the passage of this Act, shall
in no wise be affected by the passage of this Act, but all such laws shall
have the same force and effect as if this Act had not been passed.

146. The County Commissioners of Baltimore County are hereby au-
thorized and directed to pay to the Supervisor of Assessments of 'Balti-
more County such sum for traveling expenses as said County Commis-
sioners may determine, not to exceed six hundred dollars ($600.00) per
annum, said traveling expenses to he raised and paid in the same manner
as is provided for raising and paying the salary of twenty-four hundred
dollars per year to the Supervisor of Assessments of Baltimore County
bv Section 240 of the Acts of 1914.*

147. At each general election held in Baltimore County, the legal
voters thereof shall elect by ballot a Treasurer, whose duty it shall be
to receive all moneys which may be due the said county and pay all claims
against the same.
