FOXES.

1918, ch. 317, sec. 1. B. Co. C. (1928), sec. 52.

52. Any person or persons who shall shoot at or shoot a fox that is
being pursued by a dog or dogs, or shall dig out or in any manner take
from any den a female fox or her young whelps or kill or in any manner
cause the death of such female fox or her young whelps during the period
she is suckling them, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction before a Justice of the Peace shall be fined not less than twen-
ty-five dollars nor more than fifty dollars for each offense, one-half of such
fine or fines to be paid to the informer and the other half to the Board
of County School Commissioners for the use of the Public Schools of said
County. Nothing in this Act to be construed to prevent the killing of
said foxes at any time by any person while they are in pursuit of his or
her poultry; provided, however, that the killing of said foxes be done
within a reasonable time after such pursuit or the killing of such poultry.

1918, ch. 317, sec. 2. B. Co. C. (1928), sec. 53.

53. All Acts or parts of Acts inconsistent with this Act are hereby
repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

1922, ch. 276, sec. 2. B. Co. C. (1928), sec. 54.

54. In order to encourage the sport of fox hunting and to prevent the
indiscriminate and unnecessary destruction of foxes, it shall be unlawful
for any person or persons to shoot at or shoot a fox that is being pursued
by a dog or dogs.

1922, ch. 276, sec. 3. B. Co. C. (1928), sec. 55.

55. It shall be unlawful to liberate any fox bred or raised in captivity
or imported into Baltimore County, unless for the purpose of immediate
chase.

1922, ch. 276, sec. 4. B. Co. C. (1928), sec. 56.

56. Any person or corporation violating the provisions of this Act shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof before
a Justice of the Peace, shall be fined not less than twenty-five ($25)
dollars, nor more than fifty ($50) dollars, for each offense, one-half of
such fine or fines to be paid to the informer and the other half to the
Board of County School Commissioners, for the use of the public schools
of said county.

1927, ch. 406. B. Co. C. (1928), sec. 57.

57. It shall be unlawful to trap, sell, buy or expose for sale any fox or
fox hide in Baltimore County, and it shall be unlawful to transport any
fox or fox hide from any place in Baltimore County to any place without
Baltimore County, and possession of any fox or fox hide shall be prima
facie evidence of a violation of this section, but nothing in this Act shall
be construed as to prevent the killing of foxes at any time by any person
