5246 ARTICLE 24.

canoe, boat or vessel not less than twenty-five dollars, one-half of said fine
to be paid to the informer, and the residue to the treasurer of the school
board of said county, for the use of the school fund of said county.

185. The several justices of the peace and clerk of the Circuit Court
for said county are authorized and required to pay to the treasurer of the
school board of said county, every three months, all the money they may
have in hand at such times, arising from fines, penalties or forfeitures im-
posed under this sub-title of this article.

186. No person shall, under any pretext whatever, remove or take
away any shells from any of the rocks or flats whereon oysters grow, with-
in the limits of said county; and any person violating this, section shall be
liable to a fine of twenty-five dollars, to be recovered as other fines, or by
judgment of any of the justices of the peace of said county, one-half to be
paid to the informer, and the residue to the treasurer of the school board
of said county, for the benefit of the school fund of said county.

POCOMOKE BRIDGE.

1910, ch. 106. 1920 Code, sec. 250.

187. If the Pocomoke Bridge Company shall accept the provisions of
this Act as hereinafter specified, the County Commissioners of Somerset
County are hereby required to levy annually on the taxable property of
the said county the sum of five hundred dollars ($500.00), and they shall
pay over the said sum of five hundred dollars ($500.00) so levied on or
before the first day of March next following its levy to the Pocomoke
Bridge Company, and likewise that the County Commissioners of Worces-
ter County are hereby required to levy annually upon the taxable property
of said county the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), and to pay
over the said one thousand ($1,000.00) so levied on or before the first day
of March next succeeding the levy thereof to the Pocomoke Bridge Com-
pany.

188. In consideration of the money so levied and paid, and so long as
all the money above required to be levied and paid shall be actually so
levied and paid, but no longer, all residents of Somerset County and all
residents of Worcester County, and all non-resident taxpayers of either
of said counties, their vehicles and beasts, shall pass over the drawbridge
over the Pocomoke River, owned by said Pocomoke Bridge Company free
of all tolls and charges, but all other persons shall pay such tolls and
charges as the president and directors of the said Pocomoke Bridge Com-
pany may determine; provided such tolls and charges shall not exceed
rhe rates established by Chapter 14 of the Acts of 1865.
