and material thereof and such other regulations as the said County Com-

258. The inhabitants of the City of Salisbury, Wicomico County are
hereby constituted a body corporate, by the name of "The Mayor and
Council of Salisbury," and by that name shall have perpetual succession,
sue and be sued, have and use a common seal, which may be altered at
pleasure, and have all powers and privileges incident to or that may
attach to a municipal corporation.

259. The taxable and corporate limits of said City shall begin at a
large marked pine situated on the east bank of the Wicomico River on
the division line between the properties of Arthur Ward and H. K.
Kriebel, thence South 37 degrees, 45 minutes east, 1,225.5 feet to a
cement post on the division line between the properties of William F.
Allen and John W. Messick et al.; thence South 76 degrees, 3 minutes
East 4,721.6 feet to the stone on the West side of South Division Street
Extended or Fook's Mill Road; thence North 81 degrees, 5 minutes East
1,707 feet to a stone at the intersection of the North line of College
Avenue with the East line of George Street in Normal-site; thence north
32 degrees, 31 minutes East 10,306 feet crossing the East prong of the
Wicomico River to a stone at the intersection of East Church Street Ex-
tended with East Main Street Extended; thence North 45 degrees, 46
minutes West 843 feet to a stone on the North right-of-way line of the
Baltimore, Chesapeake & Atlantic Railway Company; thence North 1
degree, 26 minutes East 2,872.6 feet to a stone on the South Bank of
Middle Neck Branch; thence in a Westerly direction by and with the
South side of Middle Neck Branch and the east side of Johnson's Pond
to the North corporate limits of Salisbury, as established in 1908; thence
following the old corporate limits of Salisbury the following seven courses:
(1) in a Westerly direction by and with the existing North corporate
line, North 71 degrees, 30 minutes West to a stone on the East side of
a branch, known as "Cotty Cox Branch"; (2) in a Southerly direction
by and with the East side of said "Cotty Cox Branch" to the North
right-of-way line of the Baltimore, Chesapeake & Atlantic Railway Com-
pany; (3) in a Westerly direction by and with the said North right-of-
way line of the Baltimore, Chesapeake & Atlantic Railway Company to
