50 ARTICLE 1.

1898, ch. 415.

142. A new election district to be formed and laid out of the eleventh
election district of Allegany County, to be known and designated as the
twenty-sixth election district of Allegany County, whose metes and bounds
shall be as follows: Beginning at the intersection of Bowery Street and the
Legislative Road, in the town of Frostburg, and running thence with the
centre of Bowery Street to the National Turnpike, then with the centre
of said National Turnpike westerly to its intersection with the Garrett
County line, and then with said Garrett County line southerly to the line
of district number nineteen, and with the lines of district number nine-
teen, reversed to the Legislative Road aforesaid, and then with said Legis-
lative Road to the point of beginning.

1900, ch. 513.

143. The Board of Election Supervisors in and for Allegany County
shall lay out and divide District No. 18 in Allegany County into two
precincts, to be called Precinct 1 and Precinct 2, said district to be so
divided that there shall not be less than one hundred and fifty voters at
the time of said division in any one of said precincts, and the manner and
course of their proceeding in said division shall be as follows: On or
before the 1st day of July, 1900, said supervisors of elections shall divide
said district as nearly as may be by metes and bounds, and shall insert a
description of each of said precincts in two papers of general circulation
in said Allegany County once a week for three successive weeks before
the 1st day of August, 1900, and on or before the 1st day of August, 1900,
shall file a copy of said notice and description, and the printers' certifi-
cate thereto in the Clerk's office for the Circuit Court for Allegany
County, to be therein recorded among the land records of said county,
and the voters residing in said precinct shall be entitled to the same rights
and privileges! as voters in other precincts in said county; and the said
Board of Election Supervisors shall appoint such officers of registration
and election required in each precinct, as are necessary under the laws
of the State of Maryland.

1900, ch. 652.

144. The metes and bounds, courses and distances of Election District
No. 21, are changed as follows, viz: Beginning at Zion Church, on the
Bedford Road, and running thence down Peavine Run to Mrs. Hard-
man's; then with the County Road to Frantz Bridge; then across by the
Southern Church to the bridge on the turnpike at Moses Wilson's; thence
west by the National Pike to the road at Hamilton's blacksmith shop;
thence with a straight line to the Southern Church, on the top of the
mountain, near Evans Rice's; thence by a straight line to the Twiggtown
School House; thence with the top of Martin's Mountain to the Penn-
sylvania line; thence with Pennsylvania line west to the centre of Bed-
ford Road; thence with the centre of Bedford Road to the place of begin-
ning.
