warrant shall be issued by any justice of the peace for the Sixth District
of Anne Arundel County to any constable on the oath or affirmation of
any police officer of the City of Annapolis.

364. The duly elected and bonded police officers of said City of Annap-
olis are hereby invested with full power and authority of county constables
without pay other than that received from said city in sell criminal offenses,
occurring in said city, but they shall not have any jurisdiction in civil
cases.

365. The Police Justice of the said first precinct of the said Second
District of said county, for his services in criminal cases, shall receive
from the County Commissioners the sum of thirty-five dollars per month
and the additional sum of five dollars for office rent, payable in cash or
by levy equivalent to cash, on the day of his making his report, as herein-
before provided, and he shall not receive, directly or indirectly, any other
fees or compensation in criminal cases or cases of violation of any of the
laws of this State, and all fees of constables for service of process in
criminal cases in the First Precinct of the Second District shall be paid
by the County Commissioners.

366. The aforesaid fees of said constables and justices for said counties-
shall be taxed against and paid by the party against whom judgment shall
be rendered, unless he be discharged therefrom by due course of law; if
such party agaiinst whom judgment is rendered is unable to pay the same
such fees shall be paid by the county wherein said judgment was rendered
and all fines and penalties received by any justice under the provisions of
Section 363, shall be accounted for and wholly paid, without abatement
or deduction therefrom by such justice, to the County Commissioners of
the county wherein they are collected, for the use of said county, and no
part of any fine or penalty enforced or collected under said section shall
be paid to any informer.

367. There shall be only two justices of the peace appointed for the
Second Election District, one to reside in the First Precinct and the
other to reside in the Second Precinct of said district, and immediately
after the passage of this Act it shall be the duty of the Governor to
designate one of the justices of the peace of the Second District of Anne
Arundel County, now appointed, as police justice of the First Precinct
of the Second District, to hold his office as police justice until his suc-
cessor is duly appointed according to law.
