460 ARTICLE 2.

authorize any person appointed by them to enter upon the lots, grounds
and possessions of any person or body politic through which said sewers-
or drains may pass, and regulate, make or repair the same; and may pass
such ordinances as they may deem proper for the protection of the same,
and fix penalties for the violation thereof. The cost of constructing, open-
ing, enlarging or strengthening any sewer in any street or alley, or through
any private property shall be chargeable to the property adjacent thereto.

335. The said Commissioners shall have power to establish or cause to
be established such reservoirs, dams, tanks and other means of storing
water, and to authorize the laying of such mains, pipes or other conduits,
as may be required in constructing the same, and regulate the charge for
the same.

to be established suitable and necessary building or buildings, machinery
and appliances for furnishing electric, lights and power within the said
Town of Highland Beach; and the said Commissioners are authorized to

337. That Saturdays are hereby declared legal holidays in Anne Arun-
del County, and that no official or employe of said county hereafter shall
be required to stay in and keep their several offices open after the said
hour of noon on any Saturday, and that they may close the same in the
same manner as the several banks are permitted to close their doors.

338. The County Commissioners shall annually levy on the assessable
property in the county, a sum of money not exceeding fifteen hundred dol-
lars, to be applied to the payment and discharge of the expenses of jury-
men at the Circuit Court.

339. The sum of money so levied, when collected, shall be deposited by
the Commissioners in the Farmers Bank of Maryland, and a certificate
signed by the Clerk of the Circuit Court, expressing the number of days
which any juryman may have attended, and the sum due to him for such
attendance, shall be a sufficient authority to the cashier of the said bank,
to pay the amount so specified in said certificate.
