1922, ch. 369, sec. 186H.

250. Whenever the cost of any such proposed sewer shall be such as
to result in an assessment greater than one per cent, of the assessed value
of any property benefited thereby, said County Commissioners shall
provide for dividing the cost thereof among so many years as shall result
in such cost being no greater in any one year than one per cent, of the
assessed value of any property benefited thereby, the first payment to be
made the contractors in cash and realized from a direct assessment upon
the property so benefited, the deferred payment to be secured by nego-
tiable promissory notes or by bonds of said County Commissioners pledg-
ing the credit of the county and bearing interest not to exceed six per cent.
per annum, the assessments for each of the succeeding years to be added
to the regular county taxes upon the property so benefited and to be col-
lected as other county taxes are collected. The County Commissioners of
Anne Arundel County shall not issue promissory notes or note or cer-
tificates of indebtedness at any one time for the purpose of this Act, to
exceed $50,000. Any sewerage system costing more than $50,000 shall
be financed by a bond issue. Nothing in this Act shall apply to the Third,
Fourth and Fifth Districts of Anne Arundel County.

251. Nothing in this Act contained shall be deemed or construed to
authorize the condemnation of any property owned or controlled by the
Mayor and City Council -of Baltimore or the County Commissioners of
Baltimore County in Anne Arundel County.

252. The Crier of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County shall
be entitled to and receive a salary to the amount of six hundred and sixty
dollars per annum, in sums of fifty-five dollars per month, which shall
be in full and in lieu of the allowance and fees now authorized by law;
provided, that he shall receive his usual fees as now allowed by law in
cases removed from other counties or the City of Baltimore, to. the Circuit
Court for Anne Arundel County, and the County Commissioners of Anne
Arundel County are authorized and directed at their next meeting for
making the county levy, and annually thereafter, to levy for the use of
the crier of said court on the assessable property of said county such
sums of money as they shall deem sufficient to pay the above salary of
the said crier of said court, upon presentation to the County Commis-
sioners of said county the certificate of the clerk of the Circuit Court of
said county, certifying the attendance of said crier as hereinafter re-
quired, he shall be entitled to receive his salary monthly in cash, and the
said County Commissioners are directed, upon presentation, to pay the
same.
