4012 ARTICLE 17.

books of his office, the date and fact of such redemption, and shall also
prepare a proper order setting forth this fact to be filed in the matter of
the town tax sales of Mt. Rainier, Maryland, in the Circuit Court of
Prince George's County, Maryland, in the case where the property shall
have been reported sold. The Mayor and Common Council of Mt. Rainier,
Maryland, are further authorized to sell at public or private sale for such
sum as they may deem advisable any and all parcels of real estate hereto-
fore forfeited and offered for sale under the provisions of Section 773
of this Article, and all amendments thereto, and either not sold, or sold
for which the purchaser or purchasers thereof, if any, have failed to pay
the purchase money; and upon payment of the whole purchase money for
such parcel resold to said Town Clerk and Treasurer, for the time being,
he shall execute to the purchaser thereof under such resale a good deed in
fee simple thereof.

1929, ch. 139, sec. 1.

775. The Mayor and Common Council of Mount Rainier, Maryland,
a municipal corporation, is hereby authorized and empowered to levy and
collect annually a special assessment of not to exceed ten cents on a hun-
dred dollars, according to the assessed valuation appearing on the books
of the treasurer of said town, on all real and personal property situated
in the town of Mount Rainier, in Prince George's County, Maryland, the
money derived from said special assessment to be paid to the Mount
Rainier Volunteer Fire Department as long as it provides adequate fire
protection to the residents and property within the corporate limits of the
town of Mount Rainier, said money to be used by the said Mount Rainier-
Volunteer Fire Department for the exclusive use in its maintenance, opera-
tion, care and purchase of equipment, a detailed statement of the expendi-
tures of such money to be submitted to the Mayor and Common Council
of Mount Rainier by the Mount Rainier Volunteer Fire Department in
the months of January and July of each year.

776. The Mayor and Common Council of Mount Rainier are hereby
authorized and empowered to collect the special assessment provided for
in Section 775 hereof in the same manner provided in the charter of the
town of Mount Rainier for the collection of taxes on real and personal
property.*

pend for general purposes of the town more money than the amount receiv-
able from taxes and the amounts they shall have received from the road
authorities of Prince George's County, or from any other source, and no-
