VOTERS.
1916, ch. 200. sec. 8.
761. All male citizens of the United States of the age of twenty-one
years and over who shall have actually resided within the limits of said
town not less than 365 days next preceding any regular election for
Councilmen, who have never been convicted of any infamous crime, shall be
qualified voters of said town and as such shall be entitled to register as
hereinafter provided and after such registration to vote at any election
held in said town under the provisions of this Act, or under the provisions
of any other Act requiring an election to be held in said town for any
town purposes whatsoever, until they shall be thereafter disqualified by
loss of citizenship, actual removal from said town or conviction for an
infamous crime, and shall for such disqualification be stricken from the
registration books hereinafter provided for.
ELECTIONS.
1916, ch. 200, sec. 9.
762. The qualified voters of said town shall on the first Monday in
May, 1917, and every two years thereafter, at such place in said town as
the Election Supervisors hereinafter provided for, shall designate, vote
for one person to serve as Mayor of said town for the term of two years
from the second Monday in May of the year of his election, and until the
qualification of his successor.
And on the first Monday in May, 1918, and every two years thereafter,
at the same place the qualified voters residing in the second ward shall
vote for one person resident in said ward to be Councilman to serve for two
years from the second Monday in May, next after his election and until
the qualification of his successor.
And on the first Monday in May, 1918, and every two years thereafter,
at the same place, the qualified voters residing in the third ward shall
vote for one person resident in said ward to be Councilman to serve for
two years from the second Monday in May next after his election, and
until the qualification of his successor.
And on the first Monday in May, 1917, and every two years thereafter,
at such place in said town as said Election Supervisors shall designate,
the qualified voters residing in the first ward shall vote for one person
resident in said ward to be Councilman to serve for two years from
the second Monday in May next after his election, and until the quali-
fication of his successor.
And on the first Monday in May, 1917, and every two years thereafter,
at the same place, the qualified voters residing in the fourth ward shall
vote for one person resident in said ward to be Councilman to serve for
two years from the second Monday in May next after his election, and
until the qualification of his successor.
If it shall appear from the election returns that any two or more persons
voted for for Mayor or for Councilman from any of the four wards, have
