608. The said Board of Election Supervisors, shall at least eight days
before any election for Mayor and City Councilmen, publish a fac-simile
of the ballot to be voted at all such elections in two newspapers published
in said town, if there be that number, or have the same printed as a hand
bill, circulated and posted, and shall have printed for all such elections a
number of ballots, in accordance with the provisions of this act, equal to
twice the number of qualified voters in said town, and also sample ballots
of the size shall be printed on card board and tacked up about the polling
place and in each of the booths or compartments provided for voters before
the voting begins.

And the said Board of Election Supervisors shall provide a glass ballot
box to be used at all elections held hereunder, and also provide booths at
the ratio of one for each one hundred registered voters or fractional part
thereof, and so far as it is not inconsistent with the provisions of this act,
section 64 of Chapter 202* of the Acts of 1896 of the General Assembly of
Maryland, shall be applicable to all elections held hereunder.

And the expenses incident to all elections held under the provisions of
this act shall be paid by the Mayor and City Council of Laurel out of
the general fund of the said town upon a statement to be rendered by the
said Board of Election Supervisors.

And the said judges of election and each of them shall have authority
to keep the peace and have the same power conferred upon judges of elec-
