ARUNDEL ON THE BAY.
1898, ch. 349, sec. 1.
120. The inhabitants of Arundel on the Bay, in Anne Arundel Coun-
ty, Maryland, are hereby incorporated and created a corporate body under
the name and style of "The Commissioners of Arundel on the Bay," and
by that name shall have perpetual succession, sue and be sued, plead and be
impleaded in any court of law or equity whatsoever, may purchase and
hold real, personal and mixed property, and may sell and convey the same
for the benefit of said town, and may have and use a common seal, and the
same alter at pleasure.

121. The boundary limits of said Town of Arundel on the Bay, shall
be as follows: All that tract of land situate, lying and being in Anne
Arundel County, in the State of Maryland, and now called "Arundel on
the Bay," recorded among the land records of Anne Arundel County
aforesaid, in Liber S. H., No. 37, folio 509, etc., and being the land
which, by deed dated September 16, 1890, and recorded among the land
records aforesaid, in Liber S. H., No. 37, folio 509, etc., was conveyed
by Richard M. Chase to the Chesapeake and Columbia Investment Com-
pany.

122. The legal voters of Arundel on the Bay, who have resided within
the corporal limits six months preceding an election, and all persons who
own any interest in real estate in said town, of the age of twenty-one
years and upwards, shall elect by ballot on the last Saturday in July, of
each year, commencing the last Saturday of July, 1899, seven Commis-
sioners of the said town of Arundel on the Bay. And until the last Satur-
day in July, 1899, Louis E. Tayson, Timothy D. Keleher, Nicholas H.
Shea, Lawrence Cavenaugh, Thomas W. Smith, James C. Courts and
James W. Somerville shall be and they are hereby constituted Commis-
sioners of the said town of Arundel on the Bay. That any form of said
Commissioners shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business.
The said Commissioners shall meet on the first Saturday in August of
each year from and after July, eighteen hundred and ninety-nine, and
take the oath of office to support and maintain the Constitution and laws
of the United States and of the State of Maryland, and to perform the
duties of their offices as Commissioners of Arundel on the Bay, to the
best of their ability, without fear, favor, affection or partiality. They
shall, therefore, choose one of their number as their presiding officer, who
shall also act as the executive officer of the said Commissioners and Mayor
of the said town of Arundel on the Bay. The said Commissioners shall
also choose, not necessarily from among the members thereof, a secretary
and treasurer, who shall continue in office during the term for which said
Commissioners are elected, unless sooner removed for cause by said Com-
