posal of said sewerage or drainage, or for any pipes, sewers, buildings or
other works or structures needed for the construction and operation of said
sewers or the disposal of said sewage or drainage

502. The Mayor and Common Council of Hyattsville shall have full
power and authority to construct any sewers and drains in or under the
beds of any of the stieets, loads, alleys and lanes of said town, and in or
under any lots or parcels of giound belonging to or which may be ac
quired by the Mayor and Common Council of Hyattsville, and to connect
therewith at the expense of the Mayoi and Common Council or to cause
or require the owners or occupants thereof to connect therewith, at the
expense of such owners or occupants, and any or all of the dwellings,
houses and other buildings, sinks, wells, cesspools and receptacles of water
or sewerage in said town And the Mayoi and Common Council of
Hyattsville shall have full power and authority to provide by ordinance
when and how such connections shall be made, and the fines and penalties
for the failure, neglect or refusal of property owners or occupants of
houses, other buildings and lands in said town, to make or peimit such
connection and for injury to or interference with said sewers, drama, pipes
and connections, and said fines and penalties shall be collected as other
fines and penalties are collected

503. Whenever said sewerage system shall be in propel working order
for receiving and disposing of the sewage or drainage of am premises
which shall have been connected with it, the said Mayor and Common
Council shall have power and authority to cause or require any well, sink,
cesspool or other receptacle of sewage or diainage on said piemises to be
cleaned out and filled up at the expense of the owner or occupant, so as to
prevent its further use, and may provide by ordinance fines and penalties
for the failure, neglect or refusal of the owners or occupants of such
premises to clean out and fill up such wells, sinks, cesspools and recepta-
cles, or to submit to the cleaning out, filling up of the same, at the expense
of the owners or occupants.*

as follows Ward number one shall embrace all of the said town lying
south and east of the centre line of Maryland avenue, commonly known
as the Washington and Baltimore Turnpike, and south and east of the
Washington branch of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, as now estab-
lished in its lines through said town, for wards number two and thiee,
