and roadbed and street improvements, or any of them, and the assessment
of the costs thereof shall be made under the provisions of the Laws of
Maryland, and any amendments thereof, applicable to the Mayor and
Common Council of Hyattsville authorizing it to make such improvements
and to assess the costs thereof against the property abutting the same,
and shall be collected in the same manner provided for the collection and
enforcement of taxes and assessments of the town of Hyattsville.

493. All the inhabitants of the territory annexed to the town of Hyatts-
ville by this Act shall, in all respects and to all intents and purposes, be
subject to the powers, jurisdiction and authority vested, or to be vested
by law, in the Mayor and Common Council of Hyattsville, and to all the
ordinances now in force in said town, or which may hereafter be enacted
and ordained by it, so far as the same may be consistent with the provi-
sions of this Act, and the territory so annexed shall, in all respects, be
taken and considered as a part of the municipal corporation of the Mayor
and Common Council of Hyattsville.*

494. Louis D. Wine and George J. Johnson being the owners of a
tract of land in Hyattsville, have heretofore subdivided the same into cer-
tain streets and alleys, and two unmarked lots, one bounded by Circle
Avenue on the westerly side and Luttrel Avenue on the east, the other
bounded by Terrace and Washington Avenue and the County Road, as will
more fully appear by reference to a plat recorded in Liber J. W. B. No. 1,
folio 286, of the Land Records of Prince George's County, which it is
believed by the commissioners of Hyattsville were reserved for public pur-
poses.
By a subsequent subdivision, said Wine and Johnson included said un-
marked pieces of land, together with two streets, marked as "Circle Ave-
nue and Terrace Avenue," in lots and conveyed the same to Charles E.
Beach.
Said Charles E. Beach is desirous of having his title quieted to the same,
and for this purpose, has agreed to pay to the treasurer of Hyattsville for
public purposes, the sum of two hundred dollars for a quit-claim deed from
the Commissioners of Hyattsville to said property, excepting a small strip
fronting forty feet on Washington Avenue, and forty feet on the county
road at the westerly end of the further west of said reservation and con-
nected by a straight line.
The president of the Board of Commissioners of Hyattsville is hereby
authorized and empowered to quit-claim and convey to Charles E. Beach
his heirs and assigns, the interest of said board in the above described
property as far as the same has been conveyed to said Charles E. Beach
by said Louis D. Wine and George J. Johnson reserving to the town of
