34Y6 ARTICLE 16.
their offices and jurisdiction in said town as if this charter had not been granted and the County Commissioners of Montgomery County shall, on or before the first day of January in the year nineteen hundred and ninety-three, and on or before the first day of January in each and every year thereafter pay over to the commissioners of said town that proportion of the entire county levy for the repair of roads which the total real property assessed within the limits of Laytonsville bears to the whole amount of assessed in Montgomery County, so that the commissioners of Laytonsville may receive and disburse for the repair and maintenance of the streets of said town the amount levied upon the real property within the corporate limits of the town of Laytonsville for the repair of roads by the said commissioners of Montgomery County.

564. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons, firm or corpora- tion to hold in Montgomery County any picnic, dance, soiree, or other entertainment for gain or profit to which the general public are admitted, without having first obtained a permit or license from the County Com- missioners of Montgomery County.

565. The said County Commissioners are hereby authorized and em- powered to issue such license and to prescribe such reasonable rules and regulations in connection with their said issue as may seem right and proper, and to require the payment of reasonable fees therefor, said fees to be spent equally for schools and roads in said county.

565A. Any person, persons, firm or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not more than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) for each offense.

566. The County Commissioners of Montgomery County, are hereby authorized, directed and empowered to inspect, license, regulate and/or limit as to location within the limits of Montgomery County any place of public amusement, or recreation, pleasure parks, picnic grounds, club house, theatrical exhibitions, baseball grounds, bowling alleys, billiard or pool-rooms, or camp-meeting grounds, grave yards, sanitariums, hospitals, homes for the aged, private educational institutions, orphan .asylums, homes for children, and convalescent homes, signs, or sign boards, road- side stands or establishments; and in order to safeguard the public health, safety, morals and/or welfare, to pass rules, regulations or ordinances for the purpose of carrying out the powers herein granted; provided that
