1906, ch. 826, sec. 22. 1912, ch. 790, sec. 300.

475. The commissioners of the county, the board of public school com-
missioners, justices of the peace, sheriffs, constables, and all other State
and county officers shall have, hold and exercise their offices in said town
as heretofore, except as qualified by other sections of this act. The Coun-
ty Commissioners of Montgomery County shall, on or before the first day
of January in each and every year thereafter, pay over to the town of
Glen Echo that proportion of the entire county levy for the entire roads
which the total real property assessed within the limits of the town of
Glen Echo shall be to the whole amount of assessed property in Mont-
gomery county, so that the town of Glen Echo shall receive and disburse
for the maintenance of the streets of said town the amount levied for the
repair of roads by the said County Commissioners of Montgomery County
upon the real property within the corporate limits of the town of Glen
Echo.

476. This act is hereby declared to be a public act and may be used
in evidence in all courts of this State without proof.

477. The neglect or non-use shall not work a forfeiture of this charter.

478. Nothing herein contained shall be taken to authorizing* the
licensing, permitting or doing of anything prohibited or punished under
the general laws of this State or the local laws applicable to Montgomery

county.

479. The Mayor and council of Glen Echo are hereby authorized, di-
rected, empowered and required to annually levy and collect a special tax

of not exceeding twenty-five cents on every one hundred dollars of taxable
property within the corporate limits of Glen Echo, to pay the interest on
the bonds that have been issued or may hereafter be issued under Chapter
796 of the laws of 1906, and to gradually redeem and retire such bonds
until they shall have all been redeemed and retired as provided for in
said act.

480. The president of the Board of County Commissioners of Mont-

gomery County, the president of the County Medical Society, Dr. Otis M.
Linthicum, Asa M. Stabler and Alexander G. Carlisle, ex-officio, are here-
by constituted a body corporate under the title of "Tuberculosis Com-
