3302 ARTICLE 16.

said Section, and for these purposes said Martin's Additions 1, 2, 3 and 4
to the Village of Chevy Chase shall be and hereby is constituted a corpo-
ration, and the said Citizens' Committee is empowered to act for said
corporation.

1916, ch. 239, sec. 8.

84. The Treasurer of said Martin's Additions 1, 2, 3 and 4 to the Vil-
lage of Chevy Chase shall deposit all funds coming into his hands as such,
in accordance with the requirements of law, for the deposit of County
Funds by the County Treasurer or in such other Bank approved by the
Citizens' Committee of said Martin's Additions 1, 2, 3 and 4 to the Village
of Chevy Chase provided, that the Treasurer of said Martin's Additions.
1, 2, 3 and 4 to the Village of Chevy Chase shall not dispose of any of
the funds coming into his hands as such Treasurer, except upon check duly
signed by him as such Treasurer, and countersigned by the Chairman of
some member of the said Citizens' Committee acting as Chairman pro tem
in his absence; such acting Chairman shall be duly authorized to act by
resolution of said Citizens' Committee, which must first be placed upon
the minutes of the said Citizens' Committee to be provided therefor.

85. The moneys in the hands of the Chevy Chase Improvement Asso-
ciation, a corporation formed for the purpose of carrying out the provi-
sions of Chapter 383 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland
of 1910, or of the Treasurer of said Association and all moneys due said
Association or its treasurer and all property of whatsoever character in
the possession or control of said Chevy Chase Improvement Association
shall be turned over to the said Citizens' Committee named in this Act
which shall succeed to all the duties, rights and privileges of the Board of
Directors of said Chevy Chase Improvement Association not inconsistent
with the provisions of this Act.

86. Chapter 383 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland of
1910, authorizing special levies for the Village of Chevy Chase, is hereby
repealed in so far as the same may apply to that part of said Village known
as H. M. Martin's Additions 1, 2, 3 and 4 to the Village of Chevy Chase,
Maryland, and herein defined as Martin's Additions 1, 2, 3 and 4 to the
Village of Chew Chase.

CITEVY CHASE—SECTION 2.

1914, ch. 610, sec. 1.

87. For the purposes of this Act Section 2 and part of Section 1 of
the Village of Chevy Chase, of Montgomery County, Maryland, as here-
inafter described, shall constitute a special tax area or district, and shall
be deemed and taken to comprise certain parcels of land, namely:
