3220 ARTICLE 15.

1900, ch. 60.

244. The County Commissioners of Kent County are hereby author-
ized and empowered to dispose of by sale, lease or exchange the public
landing belonging to said county at Buck Neck, in said county, and to
purchase or take in exchange therefor the landing now owned by the
Tolchester Beach Improvement Company of Kent County at said Buck
Neck.

LICENSES.

1927, ch. 222, sec. 222.

245. It shall not be lawful for any person, house, corporation, company
or association to solicit, take or receive at any place within the limits of
Kent County any order or orders for the purchase or delivery of any
goods, wares or merchandise, with the intent to fill or complete said order
or orders by delivery of such goods, wares or merchandise, either per-
sonally or by means of any conveyance belonging to the persons, house,
corporation, company or association for whose account said order or orders
may have been taken, unless such person, house, corporation, company
or association shall first have taken out a license for that purpose, which
said license shall be issued by the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Kent
County, upon the payment of the sum of $150.00 for said license and a
fee to said Clerk of $1.00 for issuing the same, and which said license
shall not be transferable; provided, that this section shall not apply to
any person, house, corporation, company or association that conducts a
retail or wholesale business in said county under appropriate license.

1927, ch. 222, sec. 223.

246. Any and all money received by the Clerk of the Circuit Court for
Kent County for any license or licenses issued under the aforegoing section
shall, by him, be turned over to the County Commissioners for the general
expense of said County.

1927, ch. 222, sec. 224.

247. Any person, house, corporation, company or association who may
violate the provisions of Section 245 of this Article shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor and upon a conviction before any justice of the peace
of Kent County shall be subject to a fine of not less than $150.00 nor
more than $300.00 for each offense.

248. It shall not be lawful for any person, company, association or body
corporate to sell, directly or indirectly, within the limits of Kent county,
or to give away, at any place of business in said county, any spirituous
liquors or alcoholic bitters or intoxicating drinks of any kind, nor shall
any license be granted for the sale of the same.
