to be recovered on presentment or indictment in the Circuit Court for
Kent County, to make out an assessment of all the real and personal
property within the limits of the said town of Galena (bank stocks, bonds,
notes, and other evidences of debt excepted), and the names of the persons
assessed therewith, and to furnish the same to the Commissioners of said
town, between the 10th day of July and the 10th day of August in each
year, and the said Commissioners may levy on the property so assessed
such sum of money as they may deem necessary, not exceeding fifty cents
on the hundred dollars in any one year, and may appoint and qualify a
person to collect the same, and may pay to the person so appointed a sum
not exceeding fifty dollars ($50) as compensation for services thus to be
performed.

206. Should any property-holder in said town be dissatisfied with said
assessment and levy of damages, he may appeal to the circuit court for
Kent county within one year and have the same reduced or abated upon
showing sufficient cause.

207. The said town commissioners shall have power to make such ordi-
nances as may be necessary to protect and advance the health, peace and
welfare of the town, not contrary to law.

208. The limits of said town of Galena are extended so as to embrace
all the territory within the following metes and bounds, and forming a
parallelogram, two sides of which shall measure eight hundred and eighty
yards each, and two sides shall measure twelve hundred and eighty yards
each, and three sides of which extending, respectively, in a southerly,
easterly and westerly direction, shall each be four hundred and forty yards
distant from the center of the crossing of the public roads in said town,
one road leading from Chestertown to Sassafras, and the other road lead-
ing from Lambson's to Georgetown, and the fourth side extending in a
northerly direction eight hundred and forty yards from the center of the
crossing of said roads to Mill lane.

209. The said corporation shall issue no scrip, certificate, note or

210. The County Commissioners of Kent County shall annually, on
or before the first day of January, 1923, and every year thereafter, pay
over to the Commissioners of Galena the sum of three hundred dollars
($300), so that the Commissioners of Galena may receive and disburse
the said amount for the purpose of keeping in repair the public roads and
tridges of said town of Galena.
