3190 ARTICLE 15.

1914, ch. 705.

135. In addition to the salary of the stenographer duly appointed under
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, the Court Stenographer
of the Second Judicial Circuit of the State of Maryland shall be paid the
sum of three hundred dollars ($300) per annum, in quarterly instalments,
accounting from the first day of April, 1914, for his expenses as such
stenographer; and the County Commissioners of Cecil County, of Talbot
County, of Kent County, of Queen Anne's County and of Caroline County
shall each pay the sum of sixty dollars ($60.00) thereof per annum, in
quarterly payments as aforesaid.

136. The clerk of the circuit court is authorized and directed to con-
tinue the index of all judgments and decrees on the dockets of said court,
in the names of all the parties to such judgments or decrees.

137. There shall be three County Commissioners of Kent County after
the expiration of the term of the two County Commissioners who were
elected on the Tuesday after the first Monday of November, 1913.

138. Three County Commissioners of Kent County shall be elected
at the General Election to be held on the Tuesday after the first Monday
in November, 1915, two of whom shall hold office for the term of four
years and one of whom shall hold office for the term of two years from
said election and until their successors are elected and qualified, and the
length of the terms for which said Commissioners are to hold office shall
be printed below the names of the respective candidates at both primary
and general elections in the year 1915. And at the general election to
be held on the Tuesday next after the first Monday in November, 1917,
one County Commissioner shall be elected as successor to the one whose
term of office shall then expire; and at the general election to be held
on the Tuesday next after the first Monday in November, 1919, two
County Commissioners shall be elected as successors to those whose terms
of office shall then expire; and the County Commissioners so elected in
1917 and 1919 shall each hold office for the term of four years; and the
terms of office of the County Commissioners of Kent County shall there-
after be four years. They shall have all the powers, and perform all the-
