2892 ARTICLE 13.

1929, ch. 252.

62. The sanction and consent of the General Assembly of Maryland
is hereby declared, given and granted to the sale and conveyance by The
Commissioners of Aberdeen, a municipal corporation of the State of
Maryland, of all that lot or parcel of land fronting fifty (50) feet on
the northeast side of Bel Air Avenue in the town of Aberdeen, Harford
County and State of Maryland; being a part of the land which was con-
veyed to the said Commissioners of Aberdeen by deed from Charles W.
Baker and wife dated the 11th day of January, 1898, and recorded among
the Land Records of Harford County in Liber W. S. F. No. 93, folio 65;
said sale to be made at such time as the said Commissioners of Aberdeen
may determine that said lot and the improvements thereon are no longer
necessary for municipal purposes, and for the best price that can then
be obtained.

ALMSHOUSE.

1916, ch. 680, sec. 53.

63. The County Commissioners of Harford County shall perform the
duties of trustees of the poor for said County.

1916, ch. 680, sec. 54.

64. They shall make all such good and wholesome ordinances, rules
and by-laws, for the direction, government and support of the almshouse,
and for the cleanliness, maintenance and employment of all such persons
as shall be committed thereto, as they may think proper.

1916, ch. 680, sec. 55.

65. Any one commissioner may direct the admission of any person to
said almshouse.

1916, ch. 680, sec. 56.

66. They shall annually, in the month of March, appoint a fit person
to be overseer of the poor, who shall have charge and custody of the lands,
goods, and chattels purchased for the use of the poor of the County, and
shall take care of said poor, and perform all the duties which may be
required of him in relation to them, and the property appropriated to their
use.

1916, ch. 680, sec. 57.

67. Before acting as such he shall give bond to the State of Maryland
in the penalty of two thousand dollars, with security approved by the
County Commissioners, and with condition that he shall well and faith-
fully perform the duties of overseer of the poor of said County, and shall
well and faithfully account for all property, money, goods and chattels,
which may come to his hands or possession, as such overseer.
