and to be confined in the Maryland House of Correction for not less than
six months nor more than twelve months, and failing to pay such fine
and costs forthwith, shall be sentenced to be confined in the Maryland
House of Correction for a term of not less than twelve months nor more
than two years.

319. It shall not be lawful for the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Gar-
rett county, Maryland, to issue license to any person or persons to sell
spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer at any place in Garrett
county, within two miles of Wilson and Bayard Stations, on the West
Virginia Central Railroad.

320. It shall not be lawful for the Clerk of Garrett county, Maryland,
to issue license to any person or persons to sell spirituous or fermented
liquors, or lager beer at any place in Garrett county, within two miles
of Anderson Chapel, in the village of Swanton, Garrett county, Maryland.

1898, ch. 77, sec. 1.

321. It shall be unlawful for the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Gar-
rett county to issue to any person or corporation a license to sell spirituous"
or fermented liquors or lager beer in Election District No. 2, commonly
known as Friendsville or Shelbysport district in Garrett county, after the
first day of May, in the year eighteen hundred and ninety-eight.

1898, ch. 77, sec. 2.

322. This Act shall take effect on the first day of May, eighteen hun-
dred and ninety-eight, and it shall also be unlawful for any person or
persons, firm or corporation within said Election District No. 2, gener-
ally known as Friendsville or Selbysport district to take orders for any
such liquors, medicated bitters or alcoholic compounds at any time under
any pretense, in any manner or for any purpose whatever, and if any
person shall therein take any order or orders thereof, then such person
or persons, the members of such firm and the directors, trustees or man-
agers of such corporation so doing shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and
on conviction thereof in the Circuit Court of Garrett county or before any
justice of the peace thereof shall for every offense be fined not less than
fifty, nor more than three hundred dollars, or be sentenced to the Mary-
land House of Correction for not less than three nor more than six months;
or both fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court of justice.

1900, ch. 329.

323. It shall not be lawful for the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Gar-
rett County, Maryland, to issue license to any person or persons to sell
spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer at any place in Garrett
County, within three miles of Kitzmillersville, Garrett County, Maryland.
