2738 ARTICLE 12.

1927, ch. 655, sec. 254D.

128. If any officer or other person having such prisoner in charge for
the performance of such work or labor, connive at or by his wilful
neglect permit the escape of any such prisoner, he shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon indictment and conviction of such offense in the
Circuit Court for Garrett County, be fined not less than twenty nor
more than fifty dollars, or be confined in the county jail of the county,
and be subject to the same penalty of labor, or both, in the discretion of the
Court.

CRUELTY TO ANIMALS.

129. The provisions of Sections 241 to 245, of Article 4, of the Public
Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore," relating to "Cruelty to Animals,"
shall apply to Garrett County, as fully as if repeated in this Article.

Secs. 241-245 of Art. 4 were repealed by ch. 496, 1902. Ch. 198, 1890, superseded
said sections- See Annotated Code, Art. 27, secs. 69-70, and State v. Falkenham,
73 Md. 465.

DEER.

(The local laws relating to deer were repealed by ch. 568, 1927. See 1929 Supple-
ment to Annotated Code, Art. 99.)

DEER PARK.

P. L. L., 1888, Art. 12, sec. 72. 1S86, ch. 201.

130. The inhabitants of the town of Deer Park, are constituted a body
corporate by the name of "The Mayor and Common Council of Deer
Park," and by that name may sue and be sued, have and use a common
seal, which they may change at pleasure, and have perpetual succession.

131. The corporate bounds and limits of said town of Deer Park
shall embrace an area of one square mile, the lines to run north and south,
east and west, and beginning at a point north forty-five degrees, east two
hundred and twenty-six and a quarter rods from where the road from
Sandyflat to Deer Park crosses the road from Broadford to Deer Park and
Altamont, said point being the centre of said town; and the plat of said
town heretofore made, and filed and recorded in the office of the clerk of
the circuit court for said county, shall constitute the boundaries and
limits of said town.

132. The legal voters of Deer Park who have resided within the cor-
