362. The Board of Supervisors of Elections shall cause to be preserved
in their office for one year all certificates of nomination filed with them
under the provisions of this Article. All such certificates shall be open
to public inspection.

363. Except in cases provided for by Section 366, and cases of special
elections to fill vacancies in office caused by death, resignation or other-
wise, such certificates of nomination shall be filed with the Board of
Supervisors of Elections not less than ten days before the day of election.

364. At least eight days before an election to fill any office herein pro-
vided for, the Supervisors of Election shall cause to be published in two
newspapers within said city, which will publish the same at their current
rates for advertising, the nominations to office which have then been filed
with or certified to them under the provisions of this subtitle. They shall
make not less than two such publications in each of such newspapers before
the day of election, and one of such publications in each newspaper shall
be upon the last day upon which said newspaper is issued before the day
of election. Such publication shall be made in newspapers devoted to
the dissemination of general news, and the two newspapers selected shall,
if possible, represent the political parties which at the last preceding
election cast the largest and next largest number of votes. The list of
nominations published by the Supervisors of Elections shall be arranged,
so far as practicable, in the order and form in which they are to be printed
upon the ballots.

365. Whenever any person nominated for public office, as in this sub-
title provided, shall, at least ten days before election, in a writing signed
by him and acknowledged before a justice of the peace, or if he be out
of the State at the time, before a notary public, notify the officer with
whom the certificate nominating him is, by this subtitle, required to be
filed, that he declines such nomination, such nominations shall be void,
and the name of any person so declining shall not be printed upon the
ballots.

366. Should any person so nominated die before election day or decline
the nomination, as in this subtitle provided, or should any certificate of
nomination be or become insufficient or inoperative from any cause, the
vacancy or vacancies thus occasioned may be filled in the manner required
for original nominations. If the original nomination was made by a
party convention which had delegated to a committee the power to fill
vacancies, such committee may, upon the occurring of such vacancies,
