access thereto save in his presence until the morning of election, when
the clerk shall deliver the same to the judges of election to be used as
the lists to be voted from and checked as the ballots are deposited. When
the registration books in use shall become worn out, dilapidated, or unfit
for further use, the Mayor and Council shall provide other similar books,
and the names of the voters shall be transcribed therein or new lists made
or an entire new registration had as determined by an order of the Coun-
cil; and in each year after the year 1916 and on the last Tuesday of the
month of June and the Wednesday following the said Tuesday, the clerk,
or in case of his absence or disability some suitable person appointed by
the Mayor shall sit as an officer of registration, in the Council Chamber
or in some other public and convenient place, for the purpose of revising
such registry by transferring voters from one ward to the other, in case
such voters have changed their residence, and also for the purpose of
adding the names of new and qualified voters to the list of registration,
and of striking off from said registry the names of voters known to be
dead or proved to be dead, to his satisfaction, or who have changed their
place of residence by removal from the Town of Brunswick.

The Mayor and Council of Brunswick shall cause due advertisement of
such registration, as well as of the sittings of the town clerk as an officer
of registration for the purpose hereinbefore specified by advertisement
inserted in at least one newspaper published or circulated in the Town
of Brunswick, stating the time and place of such registration and the
wards to which the same applies. Every such officer of registration shall
cause a copy of the lists of persons qualified and disqualified in each ward
separately to be published by handbills posted in such public places about
the town as he may elect, within three days after the close of said regis-
tration. Any person considering himself aggrieved by the action of the
register in refusing to register his name as a qualified voter, and any
person aggrieved by the action of the register in striking his name from
the list of qualified voters, may appeal to the Mayor, and the Mayor is
hereby authorized to hear such appeal and to make such correction in the
registration list, by the hand of the clerk, as justice and right in his
judgment shall require. Such officers of registration and said town clerk,
when sitting as an officer of registration, shall have during the appointed
time of their respective sittings, in addition to the duties and authority
hereinbefore given them such powers as are conferred on officers of regis-
tration by Section 16 of Article 33 of the Code of Public General Laws
of Maryland.

B. QUALIFICATION OF VOTERS.

The male and female inhabitants of said town, who at the date of any
municipal election therein are respectively twenty-one years of age, and
qualified and entitled to vote under the Constitution and laws of the State
of Maryland at any State election held in the State of Maryland and have
been "bona fide residents of the town for one year and of the ward wherein
they severally purpose to vote for thirty days next provided, shall possess
