Road Directors for Allegany County notice in writing of such injury
within sixty days after the same has been received, stating specifically in
such notice when, where and how the injury occurred, and the extent
thereof.

561. It shall not be lawful for any person or corporation whose busi-
ness is that of a common carrier to stop his, its or their vehicles, cars or
engines upon any roadbeds or crossings of any public roads of Allegany
County over or across which said vehicles, cars or engines may run for
a longer time than is absolutely necessary to take on or let off his, its or
their passengers or freight, and such stop shall not exceed in any event
a period of ten minutes at any one time; any person or persons, or cor-
poration, his or its officers or agents violating any of the provisions of this
section shall be liable to a fine of uot less than twenty dollars nor more
than one hundred dollars, to be recovered before any justice of the peace
of Allegany County, subject, however, to the right of appeal to the Circuit
Court for said county; all actions under this section to be brought in the
name of the State of Maryland for the use of the Road Directors of Alle-
gany County; and actions under this section may be instituted by any
person cognizant of the violation of its provisions.

562. The Attorney for the County Commissioners shall be the attorney
of the Road Directors at a salary of four hundred ($400.00) dollars per
year in full of all compensation for all services rendered, and the County
Commissioners shall provide said directors a room in the Court House,
and the Clerk of the Commissioners shall also act as Clerk of the Road
Directors, at a salary of four hundred ($400.00) dollars per year in full
for all services rendered. The Clerk of the Road Directors shall attend
all of the meetings, keep the minutes thereof, be the custodian of the cor-
porate seal of the Road Directors, and affix the same to all papers and
instruments requiring such seal, and perform such other services as from
time to time may be required of him by said Road Directors. The Road
Directors are also authorized to employ such other clerical assistance as
may be deemed necessary, at a salary or cost not to exceed $1,000.00 per
year, to be paid out of the funds of the Road Directors for Allegany
County.

563. Every person who shall use on the roads of Allegany County, in
hauling loads of six thousand pounds weight and upwards, any wagon or
wagons having tires less than four inches in width shall be liable to a
fine of five dollars for each and every offense upon conviction before a
iustice of the peace, which fine shall be held by the Treasurer for said
Road Directors. It shall be the duty of the County Commissioners to
