188 ARTICLE 1.

507. That every person desiring to do business as a master plumber
or to engage in conducting plumbing business or house drainage in any
said incorporated city or town in Allegany County, shall register his or
her State certificate in a book to be provided for that purpose by the Board
of Health, giving full name and residence, place of business, and in case
of removal from place to place, said change shall be at once recorded, and
shall further display on his or her place of business in a conspicuous place
a sign with the full registered name, as follows: (Name) ————; Regis-
tered Master Plumber; Certificate No. ————; in letters not less than
two inches in size.

508. That before any portion of the soil, waste or drainage system of
any building shall be laid or constructed there shall be filed by the master
plumber with the Inspector of Plumbing, upon request, for the use of said
inspector and the Board of Health, a plan thereof, showing the said sys-
tem from its connection with the main sewer, cesspool or any other outlet
and connections in the building; and its extension up to and through the
ventilators, together with the location of all traps, ventilators, etc.; the
name of the plumber or plumbers who are to perform the work shall be
given with the plans; said plans when requested shall first be approved by
the Inspector and the Secretary of the Board of Health before a permit to
erect, construct or build said work shall be given.

509. That no house shall be allowed to be connected with any sewer,
private or public, unless a permit be obtained as provided in this Act, and
all plumbers are required to notify the inspector of plumbing of any and
all extensions or alterations made to sanitary plumbing in any house,
dwelling, store or other building or part of building.

510. That blank forms of application shall be furnished all plumbers
and all applications must contain in addition to that which this Act al-
ready requires, the name of the owner of the premises, together with the
owner's address, signed by him or her, or their signature or by agent.

511. That all connections with sewers and cesspools must be inspected
by the Inspector of Plumbing, and no trench shall be filled until the ap-
proval of the inspector is first obtained. Sewer pipes and small drains
shall not be raised or lowered or otherwise changed until a permit as pro-
vided for in this Act shall first have been obtained.

512. That all pavements, alleys, streets, roads or ways in any said city
or town must be relaid or replaced in good condition as soon as practicable
