CAROLINE COUNTY. 1577

ber two, or Greeusborough district; district number three, or Denton dis-
trict ; district number four, or Harmony district; district number five, or
Federalsburg district; and district number six, or Hillsborough district,
according to the metes and bounds heretofore established. All elections
for public officers shall be held in district number one, at Henderson;
in district number two, at Greensborough; in district number three, at
Denton; in district four, at Harmony; in district number five, at Federals-
burg, and in district number six, at Hillsborough. Each and every one
of said election districts shall be entitled to all the rights, liberties and
privileges held or possessed by the other.

169. The Fourth Election District of Caroline County shall have but
one polling place or place of holding election, which said polling place
shall be at Preston, in said district.

170. Two new election districts shall be laid out and established in
Caroline County, Maryland, one to be known as district number seven or
Ridgely district, and be composed of parts of the second and sixth districts,
and the other to be known as district number eight or American Corner
district, and be composed of parts of the third, fourth and fifth districts
of Caroline County, and the boundary line between the second and third
districts be changed and established east of Choptank River.

171. The boundary lines for new District Number Seven or Ridgely
District, shall read as follows: Beginning at point on Choptank River
north of Denton Bridge opposite end of Park and Dunning public road;
then up said river by and with the same to mouth of Deep Branch (also
known as Mill Creek); then with said Deep Branch to Forge Branch till
it intersects Meadow Bridge county road at Marble Head farm; and
thence with Meadow Bridge Road to public road leading from Oakland to
Greensborough; thence with said road to new public road known as the
Hoffman Road, and thence with same to public road leading from Ridgely
to Bridgetown; thence with said road to a stream (on the north side of a
farm known as J. A. Roe farm) called Spring Valley Branch; thence
with said Spring Valley Branch to Queen Anne line; thence in a westerly
and southerly direction with Queen Anne and present boundary line be-
tween second and sixth districts as now defined, till it reaches the mouth
of the Ridgely and Long's school house road; thence with said road to
the entrance to the Thomas Sparkling farm; thence by and with the said
entrance till it intersects the division lines between the said Sparkling
farm and what is known as the Liden or Thomas F. Garey farm ; thence
with said division line till it reaches the southeast corner of said Sparkling
farm; and thence in a straight line to the point on the Denton and Ridgely
Road where the Park and Dunning Road intersects the Denton and Ridge-
ly Road; and thence with said Park and Dunning Road till it intersects
